Hi, I’m Verónica.
I’m an illustrator and graphic designer based in Asturias, Spain.
Raised in the 90s and obsessed with TV cartoons and commercials, I was the kid you’d always find drawing fan art, comic strips, sketching ads for fictional stories, and even playing radio host in made-up shows. I became a designer because of that.
Today, I work across brand identity, packaging, illustration, and motion design. My sweet spot is with brands that lean towards a vintage, organic, and illustrative aesthetic, the kind that feel crafted. But more than style, what I look for in a project is a brand that genuinely cares about what it puts into the world.
My process starts with research and strategy. Good design isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it communicates, connects, and holds meaning. The aesthetic follows the foundation, not the other way around.
Alongside design, I’ve also written and produced music for toys, animation, and advertising, some of it part of award-winning projects. It’s a part of me, even if it’s currently on pause. → music.verobouza.com
Outside of work, you’ll find me drawing, reading fantasy books, tending to my Animal Crossing town, or spending time with the people and animals I love. Birds especially, I share my home with a pigeon and a turtle.
The projects I take on reflect my values. I collaborate with brands and agencies that care about creativity, sustainability, and ethical practices, and I don’t work on projects that involve animal exploitation or harm. For me, design has always been about contributing to something thoughtful, not just something beautiful.
Let’s work together. I collaborate with clients worldwide in English and Spanish. If something here resonates, I’d love to hear about your project: vero@verobouza.com
